If I wait long enough I might Read something positive on here. Does everyone have to be a tool, a crap player or useless manager? It's the way it seems-what has the guy done wrong? It seems nobody knows what's going on at the moment

He's not doing exactly what someone wants him to do. Therefore he's wrong.

You have to have some sympathy for him. He's covering a club who are fanatical about secrecy, with an editor who will insist he writes something, for a set of fans who will then rip everything he says apart. At least he's not spending half his time on penning snidey digs like Baggie Bill.

It must be fucking impossible to do his job with a chairman who never has any cointact whatsoever with the media. I feel sorry for him.

I think I've only ever heard Randy's voice once, some interview done on an NFL training field in the run up to the take over.

Reminds me of the way the Japanese people heard the Emperor's voice for the first time when they capitulated in 1945, and almost all of them refused to believe it was really him.

Guys he's just a journalsit, no more "in the know" than the tea lady, turnstile bloke or ticket monkey!
Plus I've heard it said he's on holiday this weekend, bad timing I know, but we're all entitled to 28 days?
I have no bias here, I met him, he has opinions, he was mugged off by O'Neill BIG time, as were many/all, therefore if he knows something I think he would tell us.
Sadly that adds up to chillax, we'll find out when the owner is ready!

Perhaps, if journalists reported stories in the manner they are given from the club, instead of putting their own spin on it, Villa would be more trusting. I also think Villa are slightly open to negativity, simply because they won't play the game.  Thats why the media love rentagob Harry. That said, I like the professionalism of Villa.

Every reporter who covers Villa or any other club has a lot more contacts than you'd imagine. It is, after all, their job.

Exactly, that's why I think you're keeping quiet because you know more than the rest of us ;)

I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say I haven't got a clue what's going on. The stuff I've heard in the last twelve hours, I wouldn't be surprised if Jo Venglos came back.

I thought you write for the Sunday Mercury Dave?

They released a story last night that Eck was coming to us, then out of the blue Eck resigns today.

I am very suspicious...

Ye same as the NOTW also reporting that "Mcleish has emerged as the no1 target to take over at Aston Villa" This is written Saturday evening. So Mat Kendrick Aston Villa reporter is not doing a very good job.  Possible replacement for Kendrick ? Contact: Andy Dunn at NOTW. He will probably know before Kendrick when he is going to be replaced ............

Kendrick seems to do a decent enough job considering the limited material he has to work with.

Especially compared to some of the journos at the nationals.
