Stuart Wilson has resigned as manager of Villa Ladies for personal reasons.Wilson is set to become a father for the first time and wants more time to spend with his family. He felt he couldn't commit enough time to the claret and blues with the important family event on the horizon.Wilson certainly departs on a high after guiding Villa Ladies to a league and cup double.First they saw off fellow promotion-chasers Coventry to seal the Birmingham Cup with a 3-2 win. Then they put the finishing touches to promotion to the National League from the Northern League with a 2-1 home win over Leeds City Vixens. The victory was incredibly their 13th straight win and ensured their elevation to the top division as champions. The ace double achievement was a testament to the hard work of Wilson and the players who have worked tirelessly to be successful.Wilson departs after a solitary season in charge. He joined Villa Ladies with a wealth of experience in the game, having held various positions with Coventry City Ladies and Birmingham City Ladies. He spent two years as first team manager at Blues and guided them to their highest ever league position - fifth in the National Premier League in 2008-09 - as well as leading them to a County Cup triumph.Previously, he was head coach of Coventry City Ladies in the Midland Combination League, before taking charge of the club's Centre of Excellence.Villa now start the process of appointing a new manager.Candidates would need the minimum of a Uefa B Qualification.Previous experience managing in the national divisions of ladies football is preferable.CVs to football development manager Joe Hunt at joe.hunt@avfc.co.uk.Closing date is Wednesday June 15.
Robbie Savage would be ideal as he like to play like a lady.
