Who should be Aston Villa manager to improve and take us forward ?
We need someone who is passionate, positive, ambitious and all the obvious others.
Please could this be left on the Generals thread so he would be aware of fans opinions.

Why have you restricted it to just 5 options?

I spoil my ballot paper.

Gerard should stay, the ground work has been done over the past 8 months.  To start all over again will mean another wasted season.  Gerard will have far better developed contacts in football throughout Europe than any of the other candidates listed with the possible exception of Ancellotti who is probably on a par.

I am confident that players have been identified over the course of the last 8 months and that it is Gerard's intention to move on these over the summer.  The challenge is to clear the more stubborn deadwood such as Warnock and Beye, bring in the players on his hit list and blend in the cream of our youngsters.

Yes, more options please...lots and lots more options. Oh yes and why restrict it to just 2 picks ? One way and another we got through four different individuals taking charge in the last season. Lets hope by giving Gerard the proverbial boot before we even hear from the medical experts in the next week we could manage at least half a dozen managers next season.

the fella at Wigan,
forget his name, but plays good position and passing football in the way i like it played,
he needs to be given a shot with a better side with a bit of money to build a team to play that way,
would have us playing like Barca within 18 months

If GH leaves then I would like to go for either Hughes or Ancellotti but I hope GH stays he's got a plan and it is already taking place getting rid of the players he does not want and I reckon he has identified his summer transfer targets already so I just hope he comes back.
