five year plan
« on: May 28, 2011, 01:41:51 PM »
i've still got the dvd and box set of the 5 yr plan - now that it has finished , will we get another one...?

Dissapointed coker has gone, young and downing soon to follow, also pires was a shock as houll had plans for him, maybe gerard isnt coming back after all...
This season was tough, few high points unlike last season, I'M not after much , just something to shout about now and again

Oh and by the way..what was the liverpool score , i was to busy trying to work out wether small heath had been relegated ...funny..!

In the next Five Year Plan we will double coal production and overtake the wicked imperialist West.

Pushing through the market square
So many mothers sighing
News had just come over,
We had five years left to cry in

Sick of hearing about a 'five year plan', and judging by the great success our last plan was, I think i'd rather not have another one.

Even after last season I'm a lot happier than I was five years ago. Under Doug and DOL we were heading for Small Heath status.

Happier yes, but after the amount invested we are no closer to CL qualification, which was the objective of this plan.

We did it in four years, collectivised agirculture, liquidated the kulak class and murdered 4 million Ukranians.

Leave the General out of this, and I dont know about Ukranians but the Russians and Viennese  (twice) did away with us.

The notion is exactly what we need, simple as, manager states his case and stands or falls by that, board know what's expected of them, fans know what the target is.

Under the last 5 year plan we achieved Europe consistently, 6th place, cup finals, cup semi finals, some great results......it works, bring it on.

Problem we have now is we are drifting, rudderless.

It's not a 5 year mission any more, it's a continuing mission, but we'll still be exploring strange new worlds and seeking out new life and new civilisations.

I don't think the plan included a midtable team being bought by the Abu Dhabi royal family.  It's difficult to compensate for such eventualities.

I would rather take it one season at a time myself.

Spare tyre production clearly increased.
