It's a bit of a kick in the teeth to the fans that have followed them whilst they've floundered in the Championship since god knows when and bearing in mind they've got wealthy owners, it's just plain greed and modern football at it's worst. They're already on my wishlist to go down.

In an ideal world they would offer special prices to those that had a ST during the years they spent bouncing around Div 2 and 3. And charge whatever they want to the "glory" hunters who only want to know now they are a top flight side.

But like most clubs these days, they just skank everyone for every penny they can get.

I remember thinking that six quid was expensive. When I started going in 1976 it was a pound for my dad and 50p for me.

50P? 10 shillings or half a quid. A ten bob note.  Extortion.

When I started going in the 60's, the admission price into the Holte for a junior was the princely sum of 1/6 (7.5P).  5 bob covered entrance, travel from the other side of the city, a program and 10 Park Drive Tipped.

Best £4.50 I ever spent was my ticket for the Tranmere game.  That was back in the days when the internet was still in black-and-white.

Looks as though not all the QPR board were in favour of the ticket price hike:

With this and Colin Wanker still at the helm we have a replacement for Small Heath when wishing relegation on a club.
