Who gave Ireland the No 9 shirt in the first place? Very odd move?
Even if he turned out to be a good signing (and I thought he would!)giving him the number 9 shirt was a very odd decision.
Give it Benty, then number 8 to Sturridge
I'd leave him with the No39, it seems to suit him and it's worked out so far. The No9 shirt might put a bit of pressure on him pyschologically.

I'm sure Darren Bent could handle wearing the number 9 shirt... in fact, it might inspire him even more knowing who's had the honour in the past to wear that shirt.
