Vibes on Merseyside
« on: May 19, 2011, 09:12:24 PM »
I am surprised by the amount of well wishers up here hoping we beat Liverpool on Sunday - and they are not from the Blue side either. General feeling amongst Reds   is that, with a few more purchases under their belt "King Kenny" can get Liverpool competing for the title next season, hence they do not want the "distraction" of the Europa League.
Not sure they will completely surrender however maybe they are not too arsed?

Also I may just put a tenner on Moyes leaving Everton for pastures new - no evidence to support this other than a gut feeling after  hearing a few whispers amongst Evertonians.

Pastures new? Pastures Claret & Blue? (not West Ham)

Pastures new?

Gay Meadow.

Seroiusly, I think he has a meeting booked early next week to see where he stands in terms of finance this summer. I don't expect it's going to please him. I think he'd fancy the Villa job if offered the chance.

By no means ITK here, but I spoke to my Dad today, and his mate knows someone who drinks with Sid (I know!). He reckons Sid told him Moyes is pretty much a done deal.

Could be utter bollocks though.

I would feel a lot more confident with Moyes coming than with either Benitez or McClaren.

The good thing about Moyes is he would hit the ground running. How far could he take us? No idea but I think he would love the job and give it everything he's got.

I think VCTM has been seduced by Scouse Islamist activists Bin Snorting, Bin Dealing, Bin Dipping. However he needs to to talk to Bin Workin to get the real truth but I bet he is hard to find!

just listened to the tuesday club podcast and alan davies was speaking to a guy in the pub (I know...) and the rumours are that Jaglielka (sp?) is off to arsenal.  If true, I'd imagine that moyes would not be too far behind out the exit door.

H & V is a respectable football discussion forum. I suggest you take your thread elsewhere. I am sure there are plenty where you can discuss your interests.

Moyes might hit the ground running, but, if past performances are anything to go by, the team won't.

One 4th place and two 5th places in last 5 years isn't too bad
