Only rumour I've heard (with no idea about how reliable it is) is HTC.

I've read a few things..

HTC were mentioned, but I think that's just 2+2=5 with the Android app launch etc.

The General said on VT that a few companies were waiting to see our fate (relegation) before anything was signed.

I heard that it will either be 'CBBC',  'Nickleodeon' or 'Cartoon Network' after all these companies were informed of the video on Youtube of our fans singing at the Emirates, they were apparently really impressed with the amount of childrens tv characters that our fans impersonated, especially Spongebob!

And equally as important will be who our manager is...

A sponsorship is an association.  It would be a very different organisation that would want to sponsor a team managed by say Sam Allardyce to one managed by Roberto Martinez, even if the clubs are very similar.

Any potential sponsor is interested in how the club conducts itself, what its plans are, etc, etc, and the manager is an integral part of that.

It's more than the club just flicking through a Yellow Pages and begging companies to throw money at us!

Please give me an example when the manager of a football team directly influenced who the shirt sponsors were.

All the sponsors care about is maximum publicity for minimum price. They won't give a flying fuck if it's Gerard Houllier or Ian Huntley in the dug out.

Once Fat Sam takes over TGI Fridays could be the sponsor.  Or how about Alan Curbishley, and Birmanum Midshires?

Who the manager is has no bearing on any sponsership deal. Its the players who attract them. I heard Greggs was in the bag till Dunne lost a stone the last month. We're now in talks with a major drugs company providing we agree to bring Ireland back.

JVC video recorders for Arsenal.  So that Wenger could go back and see what he missed.

Of course it does. A manager such as Mourinho or Holloway whose every words are repeated over and over again on TV would have to be more attractive to a sponsor because every time they're on TV the sponsors logo is plastered all over the board behind them.
Wonga's logo is always on TV thanks to Holloway.
