At Vp?  Athletic Bilbao. They were amazing in and out of the ground. They went up about 15 minutes into the first half for a reason unconnected to the play and didnt stop for a second after that.

Non League - The Black and Gold Machine - Leamington at Colchester for the FA Cup 1st round. They took 6,000. I was there. It was mad. All day.

Away from VP we are up there. Been to some amazing aways. QPR was always tops, as was the Wednesday the few times we played there. But we are loud and do it in the right way generally.

I rate Tottenham, Man Yoo are good, if there winning before the 30 minute mark, silent until they score - Liverpool fit that too. When i used to sit next to away fans it was be Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton and Tottenham. Overrated - Portsmouth, Man Yoo, Spammers and Chelsea

Much as it pains me, I think Man Yoo's away support is tremendous. I put this down to the fact that the stewards at Old Trafford are wankers and stop them having any fun - I think they're only allowed to let in people from Surrey who know the tune to 'Sloop John B'.

Panathinaikos. Horto Magiko (which Fluminense also use) is great for atmosphere.

Tottenham for me.  Always travel in big numbers, even when shit and make a decent racket without the cockney arrogance of the likes of Chelsea, who are awful by the way.

Leeds - the only game they haven't sold out this season was Palace on Easter Monday, but still took 5,500.

Although our own away support can be noisy - the numbers have been down this season, probably more because of rising costs than poor results.

Agree with Leeds and they have massive latent support too.

Spurs are loud and come in numbers , Stoke can be very loud.

We're up there with the top 6.

Newcastle.

Heard some stories about them on my work experience at Villa.

Do tell...?

Ditto to that. I remember that game so well, they didn't stop signing and jumping for the whole of the second half,i was so impressed that i went over there for a game a few years later, great ground and atmosphere, though i think they're moving to a new stadium soon.

I have to agree with some guys on here about Bilbao, the were a great bunch and came in the biggest numbers i've seen for a European match.

Rapid Vienna

They were loud but it all felt a bit staged IMO.

How did you come to that conclusion?

If I recall correctly Zilnia, or whatever they were called, made a lot of noise as well.
