Delph will be a cracking player, he's got everything to be our first choice midfielder.

Yesterday he was just a little rusty, gave the ball away & lost posession too many times.

I thought our midfield three was the correct choice & we did a good job of containing Ramsey & Wilshere.

the reason he got mixed reviews was because he did some good things and showed some real class, and also as others have said was a bit sloppy at times and made some mistakes.

now if you can accept that he's not going to have the perfect game and put up with a few mistakes while his game developes, i think he will be a real class act in our midfield, but he will do some silly things, but hopefully learn from them, and the more he plays the better he will get.
i would definitley give him a starting place next season,

Delph has looked class to me whenever I've seen him.  Vision, a range of passing, mobile, and gets stuck in.  He's a bit raw and makes some rash challenges but I think when he's given a run in the team he will prove to be top notch.  For me he could turn out to be MON's best signing.

He'd have had a lot more games this season but for injury, and was thrown in too early at Man City over xmas due to other players being injured.
He has all the attributes to be a top PL player, but he also has a lot still to learn and will only get that through the experience of playing. He'll pick up a few red cards along the way that's for sure, and make plenty of mistakes - but where he has to learn very quickly is how to protect himself from himself, and by that I mean how to protect himself from self-inflicted injuries by the way he tackles at times.

Was Makoun not fit? Or has he just been taken out of the firing line & getting himself to be a star next season?

A bit of both I think. I'd expect to see him against Liverpool though.

So apart from injuries, most he brings on himself, his penchant for yellow and red cards, his lack of experience, he should be first pick.

Meanwhile, back in the real world he'll be back at Leeds next year playing in the level hes good at. You watch

I think Morph from Take Hart speaks more sense than Malcolmtent.
