Brilliant result down to a combination of great defending, favourable refereeing (for a change) and a top class striker.

A brilliant, brilliant result which we earned through a mixture of some very good attacking play, shoddy Arsenal defending, bizarre referee and blind luck. Some very good performances indeed; Luke Young, Big Brad, Reo-Coker, Downing (who I thought did a great defensive job today). Oh, and then there's Darren Bent. A fine, fine goal scorer.

I thought Delph drifted out of the game a fair bit, but did OK, Ashley Young was less visible than usual, but worked his socks off for us again, and despite his brief appearance, I thought Bradley did a good job when he came on.

I think that will be the formation for us next season, if Houllier stays, and it suits the players we have well.

The lowest we can finish is 14th, which feels quite strange, suddenly.

Anyway, great stuff, and thank fuck we can kiss this season goodbye.

That was Walker's best defensive performance since he joined.
I thought that he was generally shit at defending but he was superb today!

If you're going to open a dress shop, and you don't sell dresses, you don't put the prices up do you?  You put them down.  Its... they..... I don't understand it.

Paul "Socrates" Merson on Arsenal.  No Paul, I don't understand it either.

Agreed about Walker, very good indeed today, and a glimpse of the player he may will become. Worth signing if possible, I reckon.

Arsene with a face like a slapped arse.  No-one's fault but his own.

Superb result, rode our luck, like all fans we forget these things happen when it goes against us but we can worry about that another time. Now a win next week and we could finish top half of the table.

Agreed. He's so good going forward too - hopefully we can get him signed up in the summer. I'd like to hang on to Luke as well

For such an intellegent footballer, he appears to have shit for brains.

I predicted us getting a real tonking.  Dinner tonight will be a starter of humble pie followed by a main course of my hat.

Set a place at the table for me please.

At least you can finish off your meal with the sweet taste of victory. Considering the diet we've all been on this season it will taste even sweeter tonight!!

I would have said sign him up even before today, and despite a few misgivings. He's a bloody good player though, and it was very evident today.

Lions to a man!!! Get in!!!

So happy, I let out a huge roar for each goal and I was the only villa fan in the place. What a day.
