Some seasons you hate
« on: May 14, 2011, 05:22:55 PM »
I hated this season

Man united win the 19th top division title
Man city buy the fa cup
Birmingham win a trophy
WBA are higher than us
We got Mcallister in charge , looks like our best player leaving and we sit just above bottom 3 after being shit all season
All we need now is man united to win champions league and Liverpool to continue their improvement and it be a totally shite 12 months

Ghastly.

Ineffably and dismally ghastly.

I'll pretty much agree with all that. On the positive sides, the law of averages states we must surely be better next year! Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

We didn't even win the reserve league (South), we always win that.

I'm putting 2010-11 into Room 101.

Ghastly.

'Seasons in the sun' by Terry Jacks.  All of the above and then some.

Let's just sweep this one under the carpet and pretend it never happened.

Richard, I can't remember the last time you were happy (on H&V, I'm sure you frequently are in ''True Life'' as the people who live online call it).

Quoted from 24 Hour Party People, spoken by Christopher Eccleston, a massive Man Yoo fan. Irony!!

The club underwent massive changes in the summer, and this was really the transitional season of Houllier slowly implementing his new regime, and to bring in his players. With the signing of Bent and Makoun in January, it would've been great to have seen his summer signings - and I think we would've had a really good 2011/12 season had Houllier not had health problems. I now fear that next season will be yet another transitional period, and the only way to really avoid this would be by appointing a new manager as soon as possible.

It is important to not lay the blame on Houllier though, it is not his season, it is MON's, McDonalds, and McAllister's aswell.

Oh, I also hated the 2005/06 season as much as this one, despite doing the double of Blues with Cahill's wonder goal.
