Holte Hotel
« on: May 05, 2011, 08:19:13 AM »
I'm meeting up with a friend after the game on Saturday - he's in one of the boxes, I'm in the cheap seats.  Does anyone know how crowded the Holte Hotel gets after the game - and do you have to pay to get in?  It's a toss up between meeting there or getting a bus and going back into town for a quiet drink.

Never been after a game. It get's quite busy before the game, but when it's dry everyone ends up outside.

Although last game there was a prick with a water pistol thinking he was funny.

Go to The Bartons instead. Then get the bus to town from outside there.

Lat time I went to the Holte, it was a non-match day and it was coming up to noon.
A lady opened the door and sternly said
'We're not open till 12 on the dot and we're not doing food today.'

Such a warm welcome has meant that I haven't bothered since.

They used to be really friendly there.

We've been in a few times after a game.

It doesn't get too crowded.

We have had to show our 'ticket' that we bought to get into the Holte Suite before the game and I think they're pretty strict on this.  No sure whether they will let you pay on the door after the game.

Do you have to pay both before and after the game or can you use the ticket you got before the game to be let in after?

I've never seen the policy on this anywhere.

You pay before to gain admittance after. They won't let you in after without paying  pre match

I thought you could pay a quid or something after the game if you're a ST holder. Having to be in there before the game to get in afterwards is a bit ridiculous really.

If you're a season ticket holder and wait for the initial rush of ticket holders to pass then they'll often let you in unless it's already rammed.

Sssssssh - don't tell everyone about this place coz it's been steadily growing in popularity
after the match especially if the weather is fine

Yes take my word..... it's the last place on earth to go after the final whistle - stay away
