Wigan results at home....
« on: May 02, 2011, 07:46:00 AM »
I think I'm right - we've never beaten  them at home since they came into the Premier League? If so, it doesn't bode well for Saturday!

There's a first time for everything. We hadn't lost to the Baggies for 26 years...

We need to beat Wigan.  Certainly not lose otherwise we need points from Arse and Liverpool

2005-06  0-2
2006-07  1-1
2007-08  0-2
2008-09  0-0
2009-10  0-2

Most disappointing was the final home game of MON's second season when we lost 2-0 in a mega piss poor performance, Mellberg's last home match and points dropped in the race for 5th. Although the opening day of the season last year wasnt great was it?

Even Blues beatin us used be a relativly distant memory. This management team have really excelled themselves ,beaten by Blues, Albion and Wolves in the same season. When was the last time that happened ?

Depressing though it is, I wouldn't be distraught with a draw to keep them at bay. I reckon that would see us safe

That alone shows what clowns GH and GMc are. Get rid if we want to avoid another season like this one.

Except this season we are hitting all the negative landmarks and no positive ones such as wins at OT, Emirates, SB or Anfield etc.

I'm not a great believer in this sort of thing, particularly when different players have been involved down the seasons

I think it is just one of those law of averages where there is always going to be one team you fail to beat at home who you should have done. I am not sure the modern footballer cares enough to look at this sort of thing and to let it affect them, most of our lot just wouldn't know how we had performed against Wigan in the past...

I still think we will beat Wigan at home i don't go in for hoodoos and that kind of thing i just think we will show up and be counted on saturday knowing how important this game is Wigan played well on saturday but i just think we will be fired up after losing to the stripey filth.

One team is playing for it's lives and the other team thinks it's already safe with one foot on the beach and a hopeless assistant manager in charge. Can't see our record changing against Wigan on Saturday I'm afraid
