Lennon poem..
« on: April 25, 2011, 11:40:56 PM »
Big Beatles fan, but even I didn't know Lennon penned a poem that mentioned our club......

Quote
Deaf Ted, Danoota, (and me) By John Lennon

Deaf Ted, Danoota, (and me)
Thorg hilly grove and burly ive,
Big daleys grass and tree
We clobber ever gallup
Deaf Ted, Danoota, and me.

Never shall we partly stray,
Fast stirrup all we three
Fight the battle mighty sword
Deaf Ted, Danoota, and me.

With faithful frog beside us,
Big mighty club are we
The battle scab and frisky dyke
Deaf Ted, Danoota, and me.

We fight the baddy baddies,
For colour, race and cree
For Negro, Jew and Bernie
Deaf Ted, Danoota, and me.

Thorg Billy grows and Burnley ten,
And Aston Villa three
We clobber ever gallup
Deaf Ted, Danoota and me.

So if you hear a wonderous sight,
Am bluster or at sea,
Remember whom the mighty say
Deaf Ted, Danoota, and me-
(sometimes we bring our friend, Malcolm.)

For some reason I thought you'd made up a poem about that Ginger bigot that manages Celtic.

Just like to make it clear that most of us thought this was bollocks back then*, and no amount of time or drugs has improved it one iota.

*and back then that took some doing.

Only Liam Gallagher would find that anything other than bollocks.

Hippy teacher: "It is a literary nonsense book of enormous genius that demonstrates Lennon's sublime ability to create neologisms artfully crafted to applied inversion, tautology and profound phonetically derived effects..."

VD: "It's complete bollocks is what it is"

What evidence do you have that Neil Lennon is a bigot?
The 40k fans shouting sectarian abuse at him on sunday are bigots but him??

Dunno. If 'Rangers Media' is to be believed (and I'm sure you'll agree it is undoubtably the most reliable and unbiased of sources), then he's made plenty of bigoted comments in the past. Either way, he's definitely ginger so I'm at least half right.

What evidence do you have that 40k fans are bigots and were shouting sectarian abuse at him. All 40k?

Celtic v Rangers debates are probably the most predictable type on here, and can generally be summarised as "You're worse"; "No, you're worse". To save a bit of time I'll cut to the chase, you're both horrible, bigoted football clubs.
