The idea of playing fixtures on public holidays was to maximise the size of the crowd, something that isn't required within the hysterical world of the Premier League.

There are plenty of matches to attend tomorrow and while some of the football may be a bit, ahem, agricultural, it will almost definately be more entertaining than yesterday afternoon at Villa Park.

A few of us are off to the Canvey Island-Concord Rangers Oil Derby. With a 70s pub-rock homage and no doubt some impressive sea defences and oil refineries thrown in.

Now that is sad.

Remember us winning 1-0 at Highbury on Easter Monday to keep the title race alive, Tony Daley scored I think.

I can't say I'm unhappy about having a Bank Holday without any football to worry about.

Easter Monday fixtures? I'm going to two games. one at Leamington, one near Solihull in the evening, broaden your horizons!

I never watch two lives match in one day. Nearest I have done is watch Madrid Master Tennis match with Henman and a Czech bloke and Real Madrid V Rosenburg in Champions League in the past.  So who are you watching apart from Tamworth Mr Cooper

He probably couldn't resist calling them Spa Stewards.
