Claret & Blue Tie?
« on: April 18, 2011, 08:25:13 PM »
With Wedding season thrust upon me reluctantly I have to buy a suit.

Having a quick look at the Villa shop and the 2 Ties they sell don't look that great, has anyone got one?

So Who's got Villa ties (branded or just claret & blue) and where did you get them from?

Most stores have a claret and blue tie, just hit the shops and you'll find something. I wore a claret and blue tie for my wedding and so did my brother for his!

Can't find them on the online store, see the following:

Seem to recall they had quite a bit of claret and blue stuff in last seasons collection so you may be too late.

I just purchased one of these beauties!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-MENS-ASTON-VILLA-CLARET%2f-BLUE-STRIPE-100%25-SILK-TIE-_W0QQitemZ320681339297QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=225920066429&rvr_id=225920066429&cguid=6a840dd112f0a47a05a6a4f6ffcd6e46

Now that is a thing of beauty. Got to have one of those.

Personally, I've always been disappointed in the ties that the club have sold over the years and have always wanted a tie like this. Particularly as it's silk and not one of those nasty polyester jobs.

I have that tie, wore it to my friends wedding a couple of years ago - he is a knuckledragger!

Yeah you can always count on the club shop to sell the tackiest crap imagineable. Only things I'd buy from them are the kits & DVDs.

I hate wearing ties but I'm having one of those and will gladly put it on for those occasions that require a tie.

I have a Villa tie complete with tie pin and cufflinks which have the club logo on them.

Unfortunately, if I told you how or why I have them them I would have to kill you.
