i fancy liverpool and chelsea to come in for him. get a little bidding war going and who knows?
I think you are right about Liverpool. With Carrol and Suarez up front they are in desperate need of a top class winger to provide service. Nailed on a move to the 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' for me.

If you listen to Liverpool fans/reporters they reckon a deal was struck in January for the move in the summer.

Nah, he will want CL exposure
Agreed.

Surely there's no reason he would choose to go to Liverpool when the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea are likely to be interested.
spot on, and i believe a few foreign clubs are waiting in the wings too

not really the point is it. If liverpool offer 15m  then the mancs and the rest will have to match it. If RL accepts 15m that is.

If you listen to Liverpool fans then you'll probably be wanting to slit your wrists before too long.

Indeed. But I would fully expect the likes of Man Utd to match any bid that Liverpool make. Assuming we would accept anything around the £15-18m level they would be getting an absolute bargain for that figure so I don't think there's any reason that they wouldn't match it.

I think we might have a handy bidding war on our hands with Ash so I'm not sure that least year of his contract thing will be hugely relevent.

I reckon the Top 5 will all fancy a piece of him.  Happy for Citeh to guzzump everyone by stumping up Milner plus 8 mill or so in compensation for selling us that heap of monkey spunk in Stephen Ireland.

Then when Ash goes the same way as Milner we can do the same thing to them again when Albrighton has become a star and they are sniffing around him.

I don't want Ash to go :(

His celebrations for our winning goal today were great. I love his passion for the Villa and football in general.
