Ashley Young
« on: April 16, 2011, 08:28:31 PM »

Ash decides to go in the summer;

If we did a deal with one club and we could do a 'realistic' player plus cash deal, who and what would you go for?

For me, I'd do the deal with Manure and take Carrick + Valencia and 10mill.....

Over to yam.....

I'm afraid it will be more like £5m and Kyle Walker from Spuds as he's only got a year eft other clubs have us over a barrel.

That would be the Carrick that's often injured and cost them a place in the final today?

The way Young celebrated our winner today he did't look like a player wanting to leave.

The thing regarding Ash leaving that concerns me slightly is that Liverpool/ManU/Chelsea/Spuds are all possible
options for him (according to the media). If Ash goes to ManU (who must be favourites) then I wonder if Liverpool will turn their  attentions towards Downing?

How is that 'realistic'?

Straight cash would be better. First team to go to £18m and he can go with my blessing and best wishes.

The most we will get is £15m if we are lucky, he will be in the last year of his deal and holds all the aces- good luck to him, he's given his all for us and I wish him luck.

Young will leave and I'll wager whatever you like. It was my opinion to choose Carrick, I wasn't expecting everyone to agree. You haven't said who you would do a deal with. Unless you believe Young will stay. If you do, I'll take a bet.....

Because we are rumoured to only let him go for silly money (25mill?) If so, I think Carrick is 5mill, Valencia is 10mill.....you do the math!

I didn't realise observations were not allowed. Rather than make any more on your thread i'll just hand you back your toys.

I think Randy would be ok with Ash playing out his contract and leaving for nothing at the end of NEXT season. Remember he spunked out £18-£24m on Darren Bent!

Man Utd paid £15m for Valencia and he has become a much better player since he moved there. He also seems to be main difference in Rooney looking brilliant and awful. I don't see see how that justifies a decrease of £5m in his value.

There's also no way Young will be going for as much as £25m.

Incidentally, it's "maths'.

Utopia would be a swap for Milner

I think he'll go to Utd for cash, around £22m
