I bet the bindippers are going to get involved as they might see it as a way to get a European place. It looks like only 5th place will get a Europa spot.

When they get out of bed (about lunchtime) and see this they will start bleating about how they have some right to European football as they invented it etc.

do not even joke about it SashasGrandad........

Yes.

If Man Utd win the FA cup, then 6th will get a spot as well (ditto if Man City win the cup and finish in the top 4)

I'm confused by the use of the plural word 'trips' in the thread title?

Surely it'll be a singular trip as they get knocked out in the first qualifying round??

does not the losing finalist get it (either Bolton/Stoke) ??

I thought losing finalists got it too, maybe rules have changed?

Losing finalists in the FA cup do get into Europe if the winners have already qualified.  The confusion comes from the point that the League Cup runners up do not get the same thing.

So Bolton or Stoke are pretty much in, along with the twelve toed ones. leaving only 1 place for the league, which goes to the 5th placed team.

The cup is a joke anyway, As much as I hate them they'd be better off without it, You don't make any money and I can see them now on CH5 with about 50 ppl in the ground.(much like any other match day I guess)

I hope they're allowed in. With a bit of luck they'll get some obscure team in eastern europe that takes about 5 days to get there and back from and we can try moving Birmingham somewhere else while they're away or at least change all the roadsigns so they can't find their way back. It do-able i reckon, given a decent timescale

If they get some obscure team full of interbred fans , out in the moutains  of russia somewhere  , they will all probably move there as they will feel at home.

The reports says:

"Uefa delegates its licensing scheme to national associations, meaning that Birmingham will need to satisfy the FA and the Premier League that they can meet their financial liabilities for the year ahead."

They will be in. FA toothless, PL clueless.
