I got nicked there one year because a fella in his 40s started punching a kid in his teens because he was wearing a Villa shirt! The retarded bully got severely dealt with. Nasty man.I remember in the late 90s some 'Villa fans' starting on a Coventry fan and giving him a kicking on the floor by Witton Station. When real Villa fans pointed out the culprits to the solitary Police Officer, he pretended he couldn't see them. I assume he was awaiting back up. Anyway, I'm quite sad to see them go down. Their fans were fobbed off with the idea that a mega arena would benefit the club at the expense of squad investment.

I think it was part and parcel of the 70's and 80's if you went looking for it. There were occasions when it was difficult to avoid, but it doesn't mean you had to join in. In all the years I've traveled away with Villa, I've never had so much as a scratch. The example of that Cov fan is unfortunate and I'm sure that there are many examples of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I honestly believe that now, as then, you can't find trouble if you don't want it.
Can't remember the year
Did he write another one today or just use the same one?
