Villa Loyalty Points
« on: April 06, 2011, 03:09:54 PM »
Afternoon all,

I've just bought my tickets for West Ham away and realised that I have over 1500 Loyalty points against my account.  Unfortunately, for the life of me, I cannot find any reference on the Villa website to what these equate too.  For example, can they be exchanged for merchandise / free tickets, etc or is that just wishful thinking?!

Hopefully, there is someone out there with a bit more nouce that me.  Tar.

Please ignore my ridiculous poll.  Slight mishap on my part.

How do you find out how many loyalty points you have?

Think it would be used like say we got to the Europa League final where last year each team only got 16,000 tickets.

I cashed in my loyalty points to get a copy of the DVD - David O Leary, the Glory Years.

not3bad - if you go into the 'ticket' tab on the official website and then login with your details, you should be able to then clock on 'my account', which will display your loyalty points.

So by the sounds of it; the loyalty points are used to get preference for high demand tickets?  Don't see there being too many 'high demand' games this season!

Cheers Ricky!

Having a look at my loyalty points history now.  I got 50 loyalty points for the Carling Cup final at Wembley but none for the FA Cup Semi Final.  Strange.

I think they take all the points the First XI drop from winning positions and give them to us as souvenirs.

Something to do with not being able to create or destroy energy, I think.

They were intended to be used to prioritise tickets for cup finals etc but the club abandoned the scheme a while back (loyalty points, not cup finals, Man City excepted!).  They're probably only there as it's easier to leave the computer systems in place rather than take them out.

You need to pick up a book, into which you stick all your loyalty points. When you've filled four or five carrier bags with these books you take them to a shop near the Bull Ring and exchange them for an item of your desire. Cutlery set, tablemats, pencil case - the choice is endless.
Eight carrier bags full of books will get you a Goblin Teasmaid that wakes you up in the morning with a cup of luke warm milky water.
Take in a wheelbarrow full of books and you can come out with two wheelbarrows!

I got 20 points for Palace at home in the FAC but only 10 points fo Vienna away!!!  They have also since deucted the 20 points I got for that Palace game for some reason.  Anyway, it matters not, when we got to Wembley last year the loyalty points counted for fuck all so I wouldn't be too concerned with how many you have.
