Save Leyton Orient Football Club
« on: March 25, 2011, 04:29:45 PM »
Hi there

Was hoping you could help the O's by publicising this online petition.

http://www.fsf.org.uk/petitions/save-orient.php

Supporters' Online Petition - SAVE LEYTON ORIENT FOOTBALL CLUB

We the undersigned urge the government and Mayor of London's office to help Save Leyton Orient Football Club by reconsidering their endorsement of West Ham's move to the Olympic Stadium. Premier League and Football League rules on ground moves clearly state a move should not "adversely affect Clubs (or Football League clubs) having their registered grounds in the immediate vicinity of the proposed location". The London Olympic Stadium is within the "immediate vicinity" of Leyton Orient FC.

NO FOOTBALL WITHOUT THE O's: SAVE LEYTON ORIENT FOOTBALL CLUB.

Matt

My local club - east, east, east London. Lovely club with a real family atmosphere. If you're taking young kids to a game, let's hope locals still choose the Orient.

How long will the FA Cup run keep them going?

They'll make a few quid next August - parking cars on their pitch!

Went to Brisbane Road on a few occasions whilst I was living down in the Big Smoke.

Signed of course. My local team when I was a kid and the first team I ever saw playing live (they beat the Baggies so it was well worth it).

Signed.

Still feel bad about us stopping them being promoted in 1974.
