He's 34 in a couple of months, you know you are old when players you remember as promising youngsters are in the twilight of their career or retiring.

There's the "unfulfilled potential" line again... getting a bit boring that one. He played for a big Premiership Team. Maybe not for as long as he wanted, but what percentage of professional players can say that? Not many. He may well be an over-achiever for all we know.
At least he's trying something different - I hope it goes well.

Jammy bastard if you ask me, Indonesia is a great country to be when they  dont have earthquakes (sysmic or political).
Really genuine friendly people, fantastic food and dirt cheap prices.

It's a few years ago but I remember going to a match there, Yogyakarta v Semerang. A big open stadium which held about 25,000 and was probably a quarter full. Met a couple of other english lads there and we had great fun on the terraces with the local fans teaching them football songs. As it wasnt too crowded and very humid, most the time we sat down on the terrace smoking clove cigarettes and buying fruit and chicken fried rice off the vendors that mingle amongst you.

I would say the football seemed about conference standard, the 2nd half just turned into a complete farce though when the afternoon monsoon arrived and they tried to keep playing.
