Good work Bears. If we can post 550+, then great. I do worry we lack a bit of class in the batting and bowling.
Somerset to reply with 985-4 and us to collapse on the last day????

I see Westwood is carrying on his cracking scoring form now he has relinquished the captaincy, a massive 5.
Still, can't complain so far.

I never understand how Mendis gets wickets. He bowls slow deliveries that don't spin. He varies his pace slightly, but that's it.

A huge score from the Bears and maximum batting points (2 bowling for Somerset). Wonder if we'll declare soon.

Fair enough but...

 BAW Mendis 32.3 1 150 2 4.61 (13nb)

...doesn't show him to ripping through us.

Blimey!  After seeing our score I was thinking this match will see two-innings on a flat Taunton track - Somerset declaring for 954 just after tea on the fourth day.  Let's get a win from here!
