How to put the fight back into our pampered 'stars'......
« on: March 22, 2011, 06:55:00 PM »
As our faultering leader appears not to be able to instill any passion/spirit/fight into the majority of the first team, suggest they play the following in the dressing room before the next game:

Good idea. Great video! Dinner almost ended up all over the floor as I was waving the wok around to 'fight back!'

And perhaps AY would prefer to go for gas mask chic rather than the snood - which is now  looking increasingly last season.

What's wrong with stirring speeches from General K?

I mean, " kick the crap out of 'em" ain't  Henry V, nor is it Churchill, not even (more appropriate I am sure) General Macarthur (spelling). Hoo Harr!

Anyway I am sure he didn't mean it as it sounds. Perhaps some idiomatic lost in translation.

I say that because even he can't expect the stiffening of sinews or closing of breaches with English Dead to include greyhounds in the slips such as "Ashley Bites yer legs Young" or Chopper  Downing". Can he?

Oh well, I suppose it is better than "Let's be 'avin you..."

i'd love to deliver a team talk to them. It would do no good whatsoever but it would certainly make me feel an awful lot better!!

I suggest this, but before the start rather than half time.

I would also love to give them a team talk to remind them about the supporters out there who love this club and would do anything to put the Claret&Blue shirt on i would fill them with pride about our club and the fact that it is a privalage to play for Aston Villa FC.

Try this one for a heart-on-sleeve half-time talking-to?
&NR=1

Good, eh?!

Be great if the Holte could chant fight back all through the next home game.
