Team Captain
« on: March 21, 2011, 07:07:59 PM »
Petrov can't play regularly as his legs doesn't last 90 minutes. We know Ashley Young is not a player to be a captain.

Who should we use as a team captain.

Reo Coker for me. Heart, passion, no fear. Good captain and should be the first in the team at the moment, and certainly not taken off when we need to win the ball to keep going forward.

Till the end of the season, Reo-Coker. Next season, if we stay up... maybe Cuellar. If we go down and he leaves, Clark.

Ash Young for me as although he went missing a bit against Wolves as did everyone else he has been the player to give 100% week in week out whether he plays well or not.He needs cut out the petulance but was the only player I saw trying to gee the others up at any point.

Other than NRC and Collins I just can't imagine any of the others being captain material, were crying out for a big bastard in the middle of the park who barks out orders and gets the players heads off the floor

To give someone the captaincy who will not sign a contract is wrong in it's self. You look at some teams and they have a whole handfull of captains you could pick. I'm struggling to find one for us but probably NRC.

I don't see anyone at the club that I class as captain material. Which is probably one of many reasons we're so much in the shit.
