we can all agree that things are shite, at the moment, but how is telling the world that you're convinced we're going down any different from the defeatism that the players are displaying? On a Villa fan-site too - it's a disgrace.

we can all agree that things are white, at the moment, but how telling the world that you're convinced we're going down any different from the defeatism that the players are displaying? On a Villa fan-site too - it's a disgrace.

No, the disgrace is the fact that the players and management have got us into the situation where it is even a possibility.

The players are paid millions of pounds to do their job, and will fuck off elsewhere without a care in the world if we go down, whereas we put god knows how much emotion, care, love and money into this club year after year, so if people think we're in trouble, they've every right to say so.

General concensus amongst the bookies (courtesy of oddschecker) is that the bottom three will be:

Wigan
Blackpool
Blues

Sadly, the best odds you can get on us going down is 15/2 with Coral - hardly worth an insurance bet for those odds; it certainly won't cheer me up if I win!!!

Of course they have every right to say so. It's just a shame they feel they feel they have to.

We are 7-1 against. £50 on that at least  should fund the ST next season if the worst happens.

Relegation
Wigan Athletic 2/5, West Ham   13/8, Newcastle 14/1, Blackpool 6/5, Wolves 15/8,, Birmingham 13/8, West Brom   13/8, Blackburn 2/1,  Aston Villa 7/1
Fulham 14/1, Stoke   22/1

To avoid the Bookies have lot more faith in us:

o Avoid Relegation

Aston Villa   1/16, West Ham 4/9, Blackpool   8/13, Blackburn 1/3, Birmingham 4/9,  Wigan Athletic 7/4, Wolves   4/11, West Brom 4/9

I predict Blues to get a last-minute equaliser at Spurs off Zigic's arse while Gerrard scores an injury-time winner at Villa Park courtesy of a ludicrous divey-penalty. Villa down by a point. It's been that sort of season.

I just did that BBC predictor thing again and came out with Wigan, Blackburn and Blues.  We end up with identical points and goal difference as SHA but stay up by virtue of having scored more goals.

I really can't see us being that bad again, which was a result of the festering boil in our dressing room.

We've mostly been that bad all season, if not worse.  I really can see us being that bad again, starting at Everton.

No, we haven't and especially not at home. Yesterday hit new depths.

I find it impossible to predict how we will play from one game to the next. Our last 2 league games had seen us create loads of chances and score 6 but then produce one that couldn't have been further removed.

Wigan
Blackburn
Blackpool

I'd argue that Sunderland at home was on a par with yesterday, if not worse. We have been mediocre most of the season though, with one or two exceptions.

My prediction is three from Us, Blues, Blackburn and Wigan.

Reckon Blackburn might just squeak through sending us down :(
