FA Youth Cup Semi-Final
« on: March 11, 2011, 11:39:37 PM »
Seems we have a tie against Sheffield Utd after they beat Leicester City 2-1. Has anyone got anymore  info on when the game will occur? Pravda has no info at all and, in keeping with all things FA, their website makes no sense at all (Gives to dates next Sunday and two weeks Sunday with 19.00 kick offs). Quite fancy going along and showing support to the up and coming Villains!

Trying to work out from that link who we could play in the final. Looks like Liverpool v Man U decide tomorrow who plays Chelsea in the other s/f. But then Watfords name turns up too?

Hope we get Liverpool in the final....memories of 1972.

Just spoke to a Liverpool supporting mate who went to the Liverpool v Man Utd Youth Cup match this afternoon. Man Utd won 3-2, but -

Both sides had 2 players sent off each. With the game stopped a couple of times for fighting on the pitch.
Fighting off the pitch too - with about 10 arrests that he said he saw.
A flare thrown onto the pitch by the Man Utd fans.
He also said a lot of anti-Hillsborough and anti-Heysel songs being sang by the Man Utd fans that were there (about 300 he said).

I watched this match on the box today (L'pool v Man Utd) and thought both sets of players were an embarrassment to their respective clubs.  Niggly tackles, badge kissing, arguing with the ref...an absolute shaming of the game at youth level.

Seems to me these two clubs desperately want to come across all "Rangers-Celtic" all of a sudden.

saw the game and tbh, there was very little quality from either side, but lots of vitriol from both teams and both sets of fans...

I hope Tony McAndrew hasn't taken the youngsters to Wacky Whorehouse for a bonding session ?

Good luck on wednesday lads.............don't believe we have any prima donnas in the squad, just
a good work ethic, from what I have witnessed on several saturday mornings at Bodymoor Heath
