He stands on the outside, looking at love.
He wants to get inside.

There is no God.

If there was, why would he choose to bless bum nuggets like this with talent.

He still is a Villa player, isn't he ?

I'd like to see him back at his best, there is talent there, we just haven't seen it.

I like the way the man warped enough to use the fictional death of his Gran as an excuse not to play says "I would go insane".    Hard to feel sorry for someone in one of the most enviable situations imaginable trying to play the victim.  Twat.

Perhaps he'd have played better for us if we'd have loosened the straps on his strait jacket.

Fucking fruit loop.

Agree, and it casts serious questions about how he has been managed. I'm sure Ireland is a handful but for a club with our reported wage/turnover ratio the fact we seem happy to write off this investment with so little effort on our part is staggering.

the worst bit about it is that as he doesnt feel its his fault, he wont actually try and resolve the situation...

To be fair to him, he used his dead granny excuse because he didn't want to tell anyone his girlfriend had had a miscarriage.

I didn't know that, although I'd have thought he could have just said it was a serious personal issue which he didn't want to discuss rather than making up a farcical cock and bull story.

I actually do feel sorry for him in football terms. He was brought in as a makeshift in the Milner deal so he was joing a club that had not appointed a permanent manager. Hardly reassuring is it? We should never have sanctioned the deal until we had a manager in place who could choose his own players.

If he is medically suffering from problems then I feel sorry for him too. We had a really intelligent thread on here last summer on mental illness / depression, with several references to Collymore, and quite a few posters agreed from personal experience that it is no laughing matter.

Finally, I really don't see the benefit of making a player train with the youth team or reserves. His performances for us have been very poor from what I saw but I don't like the mentality of creating outcasts.

Just got round to opening my Acorns newsletter. There's a picture of Stephen Ireland on page 10 with a young lad who visited Bodymoor Heath at Christmas.

Don't cry or winge, just show us and prove us wrong as we will be delighted to have a fired up, hungry player called Stephen Ireland performing for us. He got the skills but not other things.

If he's hungry he certainly wouldn't have the other things with Richard Dunne in the same room.
