Downing created five goal-scoring chances this weekend, the joint-most in the Premier League. Only Matt Jarvis of Wolves (195) has made more crosses than him (192) in the Premier League this season.

Spot On, it's pissing me off with all these people who can't just except Downing for his quality.

Yes Downing was pants last season, but has come good and is playing consistently well this season, people need to get over it.

The people behind me continuously have a go at Downing, but I think they are coming to appreciate him.  They have moved on to saying things like "Well done Downing, you idiot", which is a step forward I feel.

Some people are just never happy, and then too proud to admit there wrong. I diddnt think Downing was good enough, i wouldnt say i disliked him but he annoyed me. He's my player of the season so far without doubt..
