"To come to England, my first trophy for a small club like Birmingham.........." I am starting to like Alex Mcleish.

We wont need to worry about qualifying for Europe for the next few years, the sty dwellers are sure to get us all banned again

He's proved himself to be a better manager than our previous 'manager.'

He's also had a lot of pressure from his board, but hasn't walked out like Man baby O'Neill did.

Maybe the answer is to say nothing, just smile and wave five fingers at them.

Whatever they say, we can just remind them that we've been there and done it all before, including knocking them out in the process. They've not achieved anything unique in that respect.

They'll no doubt tell us that we're living in the past, to which we can retort that at least we didn't try to nick our neighbours honours for a diary.

And if they bang on about having qualified for Europe we can tell them that we've won a European Cup having actually qualified fair-n-square, rather than losing a final having been invited.

Waiting for the only nose I know here to come in, thank fuck it's his last day at work here as well.  I have my plan already, 'game, what game?'  followed by 'ooh well done you, a trophy, first time in what 136 years, at this rate you'll have caught us up by the year 3435'

The best approach is honesty.

'You played well and deserved it.'

It also shows dignity, because if the roles were reversed, they wouldn't give us any credit at all.

Fletch, you are in danger of sounding wise and mature.

TO be honest after reading the press build up and watching the tv build up i did not realise Blues were playing - it was so biased that in the end i was actually rooting for them

Their name was on that cup with a huge amount of luck in almost every game they played to get there and in the final itself - but you know what

Fair fucks to them - lets hope it inspires our lot to get a result on Wednesday and if we won the FA cup it would soon help everyone forget their win

It's funny how you can't think of something witty to say when you're unexpectedly put on the spot.

A Blues mate of mine rung last night and said

'It's nice that we've won a trophy, It's been 15 years since you have'

It was only after the call that I wish i'd have flashed back at him

'OH FUCK OFF YOU STUPID C.UNT!'

Prediction: Our resident knuckledragger to come in singing 'SOTV' and encouraging his 5 year old to join in.

This is a great opportunity to offer our underprivileged neighbours an important lesson in humility and grace. The ******.

I work with a couple, but none of them ever go & they don't know what they're talking about.
They've been quiet this morning. I made the first move to mention it. I said "I thought it was going to be a bank holiday today, was looking forward to the lie in".

Nothing was really said back.
