I expect us to lose, but as today has shown, in football you can expect the unexpected.

So on that basis, we'll win. Simple common sense really!

I think losing is probably inevitable and, given our league position, desirable. Just a pity the whole of England has to witness our ineptitude.

3-0 loss.

Similar to Chelsea in the cup last season, we'll play well for 60 minutes, miss key chances and City will finish us off late on in the game.

We don't really like Eastlands do we?

Last time we played Man City in the FA cup we were taken to a replay at Eastlands courtesy of a last second Micah Richards header, (that was also 5th round if I remember correctly)  In the replay we got battered by a far from first team, with Samaras scoring 1 or 2 I think.

This worries me, especially being as that was then they were shit, but then again - that was when our strike partnership was Kevin Phillips and Milan Baros. My prediction is a jammy 1-0 win, with Richards having a goal disallowed for (an incorrect) offside; with Agbonlahor playing hero.

4-0 to them, with all but one of their goals being either offsides or incorrectly awarded penalties....

Yep, almost 5 years to the day. Citeh scored a last minute equaliser at VP, a Richards header from a corner (was it JLo Samuel who gave it away needlessly?) and afterwards he got rebuked by Garth Crooks for swearing during the post-match interview. We knew we were sunk then. A predictably timid performance in the replay up there (remember it was only 3 months since being hammered by Doncaster) led to much gnasing and wailing on here afterwards. Same as it ever was.
It would be nice to avenge that. It would be nice just to be in the last eight with a home tie to look forward to and a fighting chance of getting to the semi-finals.

Come on Villa, get a replay out of it at least.

Silva, Kompany and De Jong may all be out. (Knowing our luck they'll all be back but there is hope.)
