Another sad day in the annuals of modern day football!

Having to pay a minimum of £2 per minute would be a difficult decision for any ordinary fan to see their team in the CL final.

Two points - firstly there can be no justification for what is extraordinarily blatant exploitation and profiteering by Uefa and secondly, wtf do they need all those millions for? Don't they pay themselves enough already?

What exactly is the £26 charge for -  pure theft.  To put it into perspective my first season ticket for the Holte cost £14.   I think we can see where football has gone wrong over the last 30 years.

I think that price is for the cheapest ticket in a neutral seat.

Not sure why there should be "neutral" seats in a European Cup final but if they are selling them they should charge a bomb to subsidise cheaper tickets for proper supporters.

I think seat prices start at about £80 for supporters of either competing team.

Which is still fucking ridiculous, don't get me wrong.

Either way, they'll end up in the hands of touts and proper fans will pay through the nose to get hold of one

And 35-40 Dutch Florins for a 1982 ticket in Rotterdam.

No idea what that's worth in "our" money

Circa £11-12 based upon the GBP/NLG exchange rate at that time.

As a 16 year old the coach trip to our first ever away game in Europe, v Royal Antwerp in 1975, cost me £12.

Maybe UEFA have looked at the way our Premier League clubs rip fans off with their pricing and thought the English will pay anything for a ticket.

but hand on heart if villa were playing, you would turn down a ticket for £176.  in the heat of battle i think you would be hard pressed to find someone who would......and thats why it 176£ because we would pay it.

Agreed - I didn't think twice about paying 70 quid for the league cup final and honestly if Villa were in the chumps league final I'd pay £176. People were buying club Wembley seats last year for even more than that and lets face if we were ever in that situation the only discussion on here would be about who are the most deserving supporters and who gets to go first in the queue.

I still have my receipt from 1982. £10 for 2 standing tickets and £66 for train/ferry for my brother and me. Best money I have ever spent in my life.

Whilst it pains me to say it, the truth is that should one or more of the four English clubs get there, fans will pay it.

Indeed, I imagine that the professional touts - whoops - ticket brokers, will buy them up with an eye to an even bigger mark up.

It pains me to say it but this is supply and demand. They are likely to sell out so they will maximise their revenues. If anything it will reduce the touts from the market as their profit margins will have been squeezed. If Villa were ever there I'd pay it gladly.

So there you have it. Uefa beat the touts by becoming touts themselves. They are a disgrace. I bet the actual allocation for the finalists will be about 15,000 as well. Cnuts, the lot of them.
