Just scored for spuds.

Is he the one that got away for us or is he the luckiest striker around?

Decent enough player.

When he played for us he was better with his feet than with his head, although he seems to have improved that side of his game since.

Good player for me, we should have put a sell on clause in when he left.

Sold for 2 bags of crisps and a tin of shandy bass by that football genius david o'pignose. Enough said.

Flat track bully? With those gangly limbs? Don't think so.

He has improved massively since he left us. I wasn't sorry to see him go... but maybe with a better manager than O'Dreary to develop him he could have been a star for us. Wouldn't be amazed to see him back one day.

While I hate Spurszz, if they have to score it might as well be him as he seems a decent chap. When asked what he'd be if he hadn't been a footballer he replied "a virgin". Not many footballers are able to laugh at themselves.

I think he's a very fine player and underrated. I didn't think much of him when he left us but fair play to him he's developed and done well.

I think he's been underused by Spurs and England and before them Liverpool.

His goal scoring record isn't that great.

Nobody shed any tears when he left and no big clubs were banging on Villa's door for his services. After he left Villa, he developed and became a better player. It happens.

He's a hell of a lot better now than he was when he departed from VP, he really was Bambi on ice.  The goal scoring record for England shows that he is a difficult customer to deal with if you are unfamiliar with him.  His goal scoring record in the Premier League shows that once you are familiar with his style he is easy to mark out of a game.
If only he could jump he'd be excellent.
