Shouldn't have gone to either but West Ham makes more sense than Spurs. Another reason to hope they go down. Welcome to the New Withdean Stadium...

Wow, a free stadium.  Mind you, with a running track there will be fuck all atmosphere, they may well be shooting themselves in the foot in the long run.  Who will want to go and play for a club that plays in an athletics ground that's half empty every week?

The Porn-moguls won't give a flying dildo about that - they're just happy to be cashing in on the sale of Upton Park.

It doesn't matter what club they are at, they have always a great big shiny new ground, paid for by someone else.

IMO, Spurs plan to re-model the Olympic stadium and improve the existing Crystal Palace athletics venue makes far more sense than West Ham's plan.

Looks like Daniel Levy's preferred business method of swooping in at the last minute to hijack somebody else's deal may have been rumbled

aside from Levy you must be the only person on the planet who thinks that. Its an utterly bizarre plan? Crystal Palace is a nightmare to get to, for starters

How can it make more sense to knock down one stadium, build two more and make sure at the same time that we never get another major sporting championships?

It's a scandal that any private company can move into a building funded by public money without paying for it.

I still reckon Leyton Orient will throw a spanner in the works and rightly so.

I like running tracks round stadia. Like in Rome, Old Wembley and Munich. Makes the games look like European Cup finals in the 70s!
