An Albion supporting mate of mine was right when he said it's a sideways step for them. At the time Newcastle sacked Hughton they were pretty much in the same position as Albion.
Don't see how he's any better than Di Matteo.
Both managers got promoted last season, although Newcastle had a much stronger squad and both work with supporters who are completely unrealistic arseholes.
And I think Albion spanked Newcastle 3-1 just before Christmas (which was Hughton's last game in charge).
