Good team, that. I'm assuming it's a sort of 4-3-3;

                        Friedel

     Walker    Collins     Dunne     Clark

            Makoun Downing Petrov

Young                                    Agbolahor

                         Bent

Actually, that could also turn into a pretty smart looking 4-4-2, with Downing on the left wing, Young on the right and Gabby up front with Bent.

Anyhoo, I'm off to watch this one in the pub - have fun everyone!

After he was especially praised by Houllier following the Blackburn game I assume Bannan's non-selection in the last two games is down to a minor injury as it is difficult to justify in other ways.

You would have thought so but McAllister didn't mention it at all when asked about injuries in the press conference yesterday.

Agreed sir. Bannan has a very good future at the club under GH.

Not selecting him ahead of Pires at least on the bench is, at best, fucking mysterious if he isn't injured.

Youngster on loan snap shot:

Hogg starts for Pompy
Lowry starts for Sheffield United
Osbourne doesn't even make the bench for Sheffield Wednesday
Weimann on bench for watford even though he scored in the last game
Guzan starts for Hull

Resting him to avoid burnout?

Bannan has just tweeted that Mystery Man is having a "McShit and Lies" in Solihull McDonald's.

On a completely sidenote: What the fuck has Steve Bruce been eating?! He's perfectly spherical on the sidelines at Britannia!

that's how I'm looking at it. Same as not overusing Super Marc.

Its better than MoN's policy of running the team into exhaustion by March.
