He cost, I think £1m, so with wages of £40k pw, a total outlay of £7,240,000.

I am pleased that they have been put in their place but Houllier also manages to not belittle the reserves in doing this. To be part of that reserve set up is something to be proud of and I hope that these two sulks don't upset that group.

It is hardly the same as when Gregory devalued Collymore from £7m to nothing because of the latter not showing up. That should have been handled differently, in my view.

Houllier has slowly succeeded in changing a lot of attitudes at Villa Park and the improvement is gathering pace.

I disagree Mark. These 2 are not showing any commitment or professional attitude to the Club that pays there wages. We know that Houllier said to Warn-cock that he has to move closer to the club. He refused. I think GH thinks this is a sign of further non-commitement to compliment his atrocious performances at left back.

Beye is only a bit part player and should be lucky with his limited talent that some fools (us) are paying him a weekly wage to get splinters in his arse. GH seems to have a revolutionary policy of showing hard work, commitment and loyalty to the club will get you a place in the team regardless of displacing a seasoned international (Dunne) or permanent fixture (Petrov).  Ive read a quote from Albrighton who said under MON, no matter how hard they worked in training they knew the same XI would make the team

I'd like to think that the reserve players (who are mostly youth team players) will want to out-do players like Salifou, Beye & Warnock whilst they're in the reserves, I know I would. I'd use it as a chance to show I was as good, if not better than them. It hasn't done Baker any harm.

I'm with GH 110% we don't need those two waste of spaces we have got Clarke and Baker who seem more than capable and i think they are going to be excellent players to do the job at left back if there heart is not at the Villa then Warnock and Beye can feck off.
