0% Villa. Golloway: still calling the shots?
« on: February 01, 2011, 09:08:52 AM »
So, who's laughing now?
He failed to make his cut on an Adam transfer and has a v disgruntled player on his hands. Does anyone else think that this could be the moment Blackpool checked out of the Premiership?
It seems bizarre to me that they turned down £10m for a good but not particularly mobile or long-term prospect.
Put Bradley on him at  Bloomfield Road and he will not have any influence in the game against us.

They accepted 7 from Spurs, so not sure Liverpool ever got up to 10 for him.

That accepting of £7m is according to Honest Harry.

I fucking hope so.
I was all for Blackpool until that clown insulted our club.

May not be the same player after this, could do a 'yorkie' and look disinterested, Blackpool have looked so amateurish in all this and I agree they will really struggle to get up to 40 points as I believe so will Newcastle.

Can't imagine Liverpool would up the bid from £6.5 m to £10m , I think that's wishful thinking, and I'd see the figure that spurs said was accepted of £7m far more likely to be true.

If holloway can fashion a premier league striker from James Beattie, he deserves to stay up and good luck to him. But I do wonder what effect the Adam saga will have on their morale.

Beattie failed miserably at Rangers and looked poor in his last year at Stoke, so god knows how Holloway thinks he's going to get him playing for Blackpool.

I heard it was £6.5m they accepted, but whatebver it was they DID accept it and it makes him look like (more of) a twat after all his 'stick a 1 infront of it' bullshit.

They're on a terrible run of form and have just signed James Beattie to try and score them out of trouble.

I think they'll plummet down the league

I find that if I wish a club well, they tend to go to rat shit. So I wish them well *concerned face emoticon*

Adam(s) staying is a boost if he shows the right attitude. I would like Blackpool to stay up but if they have to go down for the manager to get the shove, then so be it.

It is nice that holloway didn't get is cut of any transfer fee, let's watch them plummet down the table now.

I read somewhere this morning (can't find it now) that quoted Adam as saying he will carry on giving his best to keep Blackpool in the PL.  Seems pretty much in character given the way he's played in spite of having to take the club to court (?) to get his pay/image rights/loyalty bonus last year.  Also he needs to keep himself in the shop window knowing that a 'proper' (Liverpool/Spurs) or half-arsed (us) club will be back for him in the summer.  I think he'll be the difference between them staying up rather than fighting relegation

Did anyone here him on Talkshite this morning?  Snippet of an interview as they were rounding up the transfer activity and he described Andy Reid a, and I quote, a 'little dinky doo player'.

Even Brazil was taking the piss out of him for that one.
