Fuming with the club
« on: January 27, 2011, 06:07:25 PM »
Today we've been told we will not be allowed any flags or banners into VP. Stupidly we decided to consult  the club with our plans for a display honouring our previous triumphs in the FA cup for Satrdays game, we promised the FA cup display would only be displayed during the teams entrance and up until kick off, our other flags would be flown at this time and after a goal. We were point blank told no, no discussion nothing!

We as a group want to add a bit of colour and noise to VP we don't want to spoil others matchday in any way. We are absolutely gutted as we have put in time and money to make this display.

Maybe ask the General and he will at least give you a reason why. Perhaps it is FA regulations... can't see any problem myself so long as the banners aren't offensive and are folded up before kick-off.

It's not FA regulations it's down to individual clubs (we've checked this) nothing offensive at all.

We've spoken to the head of security Paul Owens.

Why not just bring them along to the game anyway?

By the way...the thread title is a good name for a band.

Not sure, but The General always used to say to ring her if there was a problem.

I think Fletch was joking. "Ring Nicola Key" became a catch-all answer to all life's problems on this site for a while. "I can't get a ticket for the Everton game" - ""Ring Nicola Key", "The XXXL shirts aren't big enough for me and my fat offspring" - "Ring Nicola Key", "I keep getting aroused when I watch the Antiques Roadshow" - "Ring Nicola Key", and so on.

Unfortunately, some bastard taught has now her how to use the 'divert' button.

My mate rang her about a problem after the General had said the usual
'Give Nicola Keye a call, tell her I told you to.'

She burst into tears.
