Think Dzeko is being scored on potential more than seen ability in the Prem on those stats, but is without doubt potentially a top, top forward. Bent is proven in our league, so probably a fair scoring. They have paid 27 rising to 34 for Dzeko, more than us.

There was a report somewhere were they said it will be Bent v Dzeko where they mention that Citeh bought Dzeko for only £3mill more then we paid for Bent. Why is every report saying we bought him for £24mil. He is the first player where they take into account the add ons even though they he might not trigger some of them.

I'm not sure that's the case.  I've heard all sorts of figures quoted in the press for Wayne Rooney's move to Man Utd, for example, ranging from £17-27million.    I quite like them mentioning the upper figure for Bent, to be honest!

Dzeko did look quality though. Whether he scores bucketloads in this league remains to be seen....

Ha ha, yes. And in one of their football blogs recently, one of the posters actually quoted part of Fever Pitch.

And they are getting pelters on every political blog about backing the Lib Dems, its hilarious.

Dzeko looked like the new Emile Heskey today. Held the ball up well, linked with his team-mates, worked his socks off and.......... couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo

At the end of the day the only way to judge strikers against each other is goals- so on the basis of last night Darren Bent is clearly superior!

And whilst the lovely photo is more Will Smith than Michael Jackson, may I suggest a little ditty to the tune of Thriller...... It's Villa, Villa Night, and no-ones gonna save you from the Bent that gonna strike...etc ;D

"It's Villa, Villa Night, and no-one's gonna save you from the Bent about to strike"

Love it!

Perhaps the Brigada 1874 could work on this choreography:

I was very impressed with Dzeko, his movement and first touch were both excellent.
