Why don't Villa get him involved with club, surely abit of direction in his life would be a positive thing.

Coaching, ambassadorial or something else, he was one of our greats and we should look after him.

It would be lovely but I fear not - I heard a couple of years ago that he does matchday work at Old Trafford

Doesn't matter if he did/does  ..  God works in mysterious ways.

Was Alan Brazil talking to him? He's one of my girlfriend's regulars after the show on a Thursday and Friday in the bar she works in. Hope he doesn't drag God down there, because Brazil likes a few himself.

Brazil was at Utd for a spell mid 80s,soi bet they had sessions back then with Robson and Whiteside.

Thanks for the link oozjim. Top stuff ......

Yes, thanks.   That has really made my morning, especially the multiple 'we' quotes - lovely stuff.

Another thank you here, Ozzjim.  8) It's always good to hear what Paul has to say about the Villa.

No one can doubt he was a very good player for Manchester United, but when he came to Villa he became an extraordinary player. World class.  It sometimes happens when a club and player become a perfect fit and seem to bring the best out in each other and that's what happened, for me, when we got Paul McGrath.

Great to hear him in fine tune.

A great player for us but a flawed life, i read his book, amazing how it was all kept quiet

His faultless performances week in week out meant there was nothing to be said

Working on match days at the villa would be a nightmare for him if you read his book. Can you imagine the temptation from the corporate drunks to get him to have a quick drink?
