Meh, I'd rather both Stoke and Birmingham lose.

I don't mind that view.
I just don't like the one that we hoof it all the time, we're not Barcelona but we are evolving to a better footballing side. You're still making your views from our first season in the Prem.

Back on topic. Summer football would be a disaster!

If it was just the Premier League in this country then I'd be very tempted to say, fuck them, let them do it.
It will be another nail in the coffin of football as we all grew up with, but it's, if not in it's death throes, then certainly in the early stages of something terminal anyway.

Trouble is, the snowball effect of promotion / relegation means that ALL football will have to follow suit, and I really don't want that.

If this were to happen then the only winner I can see is rugby.

The Villa get me through winter, I mean the Christmas fixture list alone is awesome, I just get the feeling it wouldn't be the same in summer time. there's nothing like enduring the cold wind and rain for 90 minutes on a wet and dark Monday evening when the Villa grab 3 points.

Without football in the winter I think I'd kill myself.

i've said on here before that it is absolutely crazy to have the football showpiece played at a time when the football is stifled by the summer heat. Playing the World Cup in the cooler months makes a lot more sense. The problem being that domestic football would have to be played in the summer months. Okay for certain Northern European countries where this already done but not sure those in the warmer climes would appreciate kick-offs constantly being at midnight or 1 am a la Spain or portugal.

Seems like FIFA have got UEFA to test the water ahead of the 2022 World cup.
