Stoke star 'forgot he owned Porsche'

Real Zaragoza had to get in touch with former player Jermaine Pennant to tell the Stoke winger he had left a Porsche abandoned at Zaragoza train station for five months, according to a report in Marca.

..The Spanish paper claims that when Pennant was contacted by Zaragoza about the car, he admitted he did not remember anything about it.

Zaragoza were then forced to open the car and were surprised to find that the keys were on the seat.

The car in question had a customised licence plate with the number 'P33NNT" on it.

Pennant is a big fan of cars and has a sportscar collection.

The former Arsenal and Liverpool star signed for Zaragoza on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 but he struggled to make an impact with the Liga side.

During his spell in Spain he infuriated coach José Aurelio Gay after turning up late for training three times in the space of two weeks.

Last August he signed for Stoke City on a four-month loan deal which was then made permanent in December.

Pennant was once deemed one of the hottest prospects in the game, and played 24 times for the England U21s, but the 28-year-old has never won a full England cap.

He's a real self destructive twat, likes his pop a bit too much too.

A great shame, because if he had the application, he could have been one of the best wingers in Europe.

Even now, he's a brilliant crosser of the ball.

Is this is the same Jermaine Pennant who didn't realise he was dragging a lamppost behind him before he got nicked?

As The Fiver said, I bet that didn't happen when he left Liverpool.

28 already! Fucking hell! Still remember when he was about 16 and Arsenal were bigging him up as the next big thing. What a waste of space! Lazy, irksome, twot! It's a shame when players piss away talent. We've had a few specialists at this club over the years.

Pennant had 2 Japanese Akita dogs & dumped them on a rehoming trust for dogs when he moved house, didn't pay anything towards them.

The only thing Jermaine Pennant will ever be remembered for was being the first ever footballer in this country to wear an electronic tag whilst playing a competitive football match.
