Confirms the impression I always had of him. Seems like a lovely lad, very down to earth and his geunine feeling for the club really comes through.

His dad must be over the moon that he's finally broken into the first team.

Read this on the web last night, gave me that warm feeling that we genuinely have 'one of us' out there, not really felt it since OIT (sorry Gabby...). Since breaking into the team his play has reflected this honesty and enthusiasm, I can only wish that the lad achieves everything his talent deserves right here in B6.

Cracking read the first time i seen him play in the reserves i thought he is going to be a special player for us and the fact he is one of us is brilliant.

I enjoyed reading that, I love that many of the youth players coming through are out and out fans and have been brought up knowing the history of the club, now go out there Marc and have a belter tomorrow at the sty.

"It was hard training under [Martin] O'Neill. There'd be the feeling that no matter who trained well the same 11 would get picked."
What an utter piece of shit O'Neill was.
Didn't know talent when it was staring him in the face.

and probably going to replace him with Mcgready  ;-(

At a cost of £8m as he 'had a good game against AC Milan for Celtic back in 2004' (0-0)

Interview with Albrighton In tomorrows Guardian. Seems to have a great attitude. It's one of us playing for the Villa.

As a club to play against I think it was the Man Utd game but with both clubs down there there's so much riding on it now." He stretches his stockinged legs out and looks bright. "It will be a massive game."

Fairytales do happen... nothing could be better and Marc sums it all up brilliantly.

Good luck with your future career... with Aston Villa of course!

A nice read, i've spoke to him a couple of times briefly when he's be out watching various football matches with his dad in Tamworth, and he's always been polite and welcoming to chat about the Villa, and comes across as a level headed guy too. Definitely one of the best things to come out of the chaos that have been the Villa this season, a talented player and one i'm glad we've got signed up to a long term contract, definitely a player we should try and build out team around

Would this O'Neill bloke be the same 'piece of shit' who picked MA for all the major pre-season games, leading him up to the opening Prem games of the season?

Stil, why bother thinking when abuse is so much easier?

he also played brilliantly the previous pre-season in the peace cup.  MON went straight back to his favourites once the league started though.

To be fair, Albrighton picked up a lengthy injury in the FA cup game against Brighton. Had he impressed and stayed fit after that day, I'm sure he would have been knocking on the door for the rest of last season.

He's doing what everyone of us dreamed of doing. Great thing is he's humble enough to know what that means. I have every confidence Mr Albrighton will go on to have a massive career with us.
