It's pretty obvious if you think about it.

What on earth were you doing there at that time?

Earning medals.

Ha ha.

I'd have thought that a load of young British men could have been in Bosnia in the mid 90s for one reason and one reason only.

The Canigou (near Perpignan) Pic taken outside the church in Eus, the sunniest village in France.

Milano Marittima (Italy).

Relaxed on the beach with my cappuccino, reading which are the previews for the incoming Villa season (the title of the article in the magazine is: there is no end for the mediocrity :( ).

edit: fixed that for you Archie.

OSIGO (ITALY)

This is my buen retiro on the hills when I need to relax.
You can't help but notice that the light blue of the bike (that I have painted as I didn't like, for obvious reasons, the original royal blue that you can see in the pic with Garry Thompson) is perfectly harmonized with the proper Villa claret of the shoes :) .

VENICE - ITALY

Memories of a fantastic day-out in the beautuiful and quite unique  scenario of Venice and its canals, with Alan, the Lions Clubs Legend and a special friend for me, the former Villa player and top bloke Garry Thompson (two goals vs. the Blue Nose in the old 2nd. Division),  and Frank, a longlife Villa-fan and another great friend of mine.

I earned a medal just for being there, so yes, in theory, I was earning a medal when that picture was taken!
Actually that was taken on New Year's Eve 1995, being away from home and my then newly pregnant wife was pretty hard.

Fair play.
Are you still in touch with the lads around you, they're very young. Were you the elder statesman?
