I don't buy the wages angle either. We were willing to pay Wayne Cocking Bridge £90K per week so why not our star player of last season?

Let the greedy fucker rot
Did he ever want to leave? I sure as shit don't remember him saying so.

But he never said that he didn't want to leave???  If he didn't want to leave he didn't have to. We wanted to sell l young but he decided not to go to Liverpool.  If Milner didn't want to leave he and oniel would still be here now.  Ok maybe not oniel

Is that a brute fact or is it speculation and guesswork?

I'm asking the question because Milner said nothing. We don't know one way or the other.

Sandman, were we?  Really?  Scary.

Milner has gone from being a centre midfielder at a great club to being a sub at a fashionable club on a load of money.  I've no doubt Villa offered him a fuck load of money wages wise. It's just the case that whatever a millionaire offers a billionaire can top.

PMK, Man City are no more ruining the league than Chelsea were 5 year s ago.  ALL fans are smug when they're winning. Proper City fans are as bemused as most of us would be.

I'm sure no one on here predicted he end up collecting splinters on his arse on the bench at Eastlands. NOT.
Oops thats a bit dated, what with those padded and heated comfy seats in the technical area these days.
Modern football is rubbish. Greedy bastards.

One of the reasons we are where we are is we failed to fill the void he left behind. I'd have him back in a heartbeat, providing he took a cut in wages...

He doesn’t look like he’s enjoying it.

As I predicted when he left. ££££££££ doesn't always equal happiness. He came very close to glory with us, up there he's big news until they buy somebody else to repalce him.

The only game I've seen of that lot I've seen recently was when they lost to Everton around Christmas and he cut a very frustrated figure.

He was already rich anyway.

He wants to win medals and he probably will- but he thought he'd be happy doing it. The problem is he's not playing and so he's not enjoying it.

Surely he wouldn't have gone if he didn't want to go!
Always gave his best for us but as soon as something better came along he left - just like 99% of players do. Nowt particularly wrong with it, but I wouldn't praise him for not making a fuss.

He's never going to be sexy enough for them.  I wonder if he regrets it at all (leaving aside the £5.2M a year wages and where we are now).  The move certainly can't be positive for his England career.
