Just seen on another site a post from Chris saying he was washed out to sea and his lungs filled with water, now he's at home recovering from pneumonia.
Get well soon Chrissie.

My abiding memory is of his backpass at Oldham but then again that might say more about me than him.

My abiding memory is the 89th minute at Highbury in 1990.  Delirium on the Clock End.  Oh, what a night!
that was a hell of a night. I was stopping with relatives down there and my uncle went straight to bed in a mood, didnt say alot the next day either!

I confess that I'd had a big night on the horse tranquilsers the previous evening, but didn't Price score a New years day 30-yard screamer at Middlesbrough one time?

Or was I still hallucinating?

Either way, I shall take the memory to my grave.

edit

Flash back!!! it was Alan Wright

Pretty sure he was here the year before God and Flobber Kent arrived. Can picture him in that pink-and-burgundy stripy Hummel monstrosity. In fact I think he was in the promotion squad the year before.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't in the promotion squad as I was saying all year that we should buy him, might not be the appropriate time to say that he never quite seemed to hit the heights with us that he did with Blackburn in my view.

He was here before the Lord and Kent Nielsen, but after our season in the Second Division I think. Same kit though. Joined in summer 1988/89 IIRC around the same time as Derek Mountfield. Had a reputation as a goalscoring fullback at t'Rovers, even scored against us in that promotion season.

We knocked that out of him though. 2 goals in four years for us.

My main memory of Chris Price was him turning Andreas Brehme inside-out in the home Inter game in 1990, followed closely by the goal at Arsenal.

Was there at the Clock End but for some reason my abiding memory of him was in the game versus Arsenal at home the following season under Vengloshh.

My old man always used to argue that Tony Cantscoreino wasn't that bad a forward, he was just starved of service. I never fully agreed, he always looked a bit shit to me.
Apart from in the old Second Division and his first season in the topflight when he looked like one of the best forwards in the league. Weird times.

But anyway. In the above game he had a point. It got so bad that at one stage Cas went out wide looking for the ball and ended up crossing it...into Chris Price.  Who got nowhere near the thing. Just about summed up our season, that.

My favourite memory is him winning a pen at Sheff Weds(?) and giving the old hand shady sign as he sat on the floor. But now I type this I wonder if it really happened? Can anyone help?
