I was near the front of the lower tier and didn't even notice this.  Was it in the upper tier?

Yeah upper tier just off centre

I wish that bog-roll throwing was still allowed. Clean bog roll, of course. Would look fantastic

When was it banned?

I remember people doing until about 1998 or so.

Ask Chris Jephcott (sp?) to do a fly over in his Flybe jet and open the bomb doors.

We got in loads of streamers at the Sty for the LC game with no bother, just people didn't throw them at the right time.

A mass synchronised fart would be appropriate

Like it

Me and Alex Alex Cropley tried something similar at Loftus Road many many years ago ( last game of the season, mass Villa fans' conga on the pitch, crossbars snapped in half etc).

We were in the QPR end and had pockets full of claret and blue confetti to chuck as the players walked out. Well, it was't confetti, you couldn't get claret and blue confetti in those days, we used a hole punch and spent days before the game punching little dots out of pieces of claret and blue cardboard.

Any road up, the players walked out, we got our "confetti" out, chucked it in the air just as El Nino piped up and blew the fucking lot over the roof of the stand before a single dot made it to the pitch......

I wish that bog-roll throwing was still allowed. Clean bog roll, of course. Would look fantastic

I look a load of confetti to that game.  I'd spent hours making it from purple, blue and white paper and put into individual bags to hand out.  Got through the turnstile only for one of their meat-head security blokes to ask what was in the bag.  I showed him - and he promptly confiscated it saying that under the new Football Ground Regulations it was an offence to throw things in a stadium.

Never liked QPR since.

Would it really work though? I doubt there'd be an end product. :D

I chucked a bog roll once - at Stockport.

Trouble is it had got wet in the rain so didn't unfurl in flight - just flew past a couple of players like a soggy brick.

A woman in front of me turned round and proper told me off as well, which was embarrassing.

Littering another team's stadium is not something I agree with.

What's the point ?

I hope this is a piss take?

Nope.

I don't see the point in deliberately scattering rubbish around a football ground just for a few seconds of going "wow..... look at that confetti"

Not a fan of those enduring images of the '78 World Cup then?

FFS - I hate vandalism but creating a spectacle has to be good. It keeps cleaners in work too, so bring it on.

I used to rip up all the left-over tickets in my season ticket book at the end of the season, usually left over from cup ties we failed to qualify for, and make them into confetti for our last home game.

You can't do it with the season cards. Bloody Randy Lerner has ruined this club...
